Oneheart is my Human Doctor - Second Life Character. Modelled using a generic shape and skin and is based on the TV/Film actor David Tennant. (Doctor Who 2005 - 2010)

I'd like to think this piece speaks for itself.

Because we never did have this side of the story told, my interpretation on the situation, sad as it may seem, has always concluded in The Human Doctor ageing and living his life alone.

We can only fantasize about the possibilities RTD may have had in mind. But for me personally, at a guess, no matter how many castles in the sky this couple built, no matter how much love and affection he showed her, she only ever really loved one man...

Some may argue he was partly the same man. Agreed, but I did visit this question with another piece. And hence to say, it's not the first time I have considered the situation as seen here. [link]

Writing on wall:

Nothing that I do
Will ever be enough for you
Whatever I do, whatever I do.
Take me as I am
I'll never be the other man.
Forget about you
I'll forget about this time.

(Lyrics taken from Unspoken - by Hurts)

Second Life quality notice: All Second Life work shown is NOT submitted in it's RAW state. All Second Life deviations undergo a fair amount of photoshop manipulation and correction. I run my SL Viewer based on the best settings that work with my hardware and broadband connection. Therefore this will effect the final quality and output of the pics taken. This may also vary from user to user. If you require more information on the sim, please visit [link]

Linking to work: I appreciate it is difficult to keep all work within the Deviant Art community, therefore, if you do reference the artwork 'anywhere' outside of Deviant Art via a link, please be kind enough to credit me as the original owner of the work. Thank you for taking the trouble to look. Please DO NOT screengrab unwatermarked artwork. It is a breach of my copyright.

~TempusPraegnansNovae - I'd have to say much of what you see is very much enhanced Photoshop work - The background on this is NOT SL and alot of modifications have been made. I predominantly concentrate my art on Photo Manipulation and simply use SL as a tool.

Only my avatar in this picture is SL work, and he pretty much looks as you see it in most of my pics, but I have to put in the extra work to make them look good enough to present as artwork.

I also have to run thr sim at ultra high settings and then work alot on the quality afterwards. Meshing is now slowly being introduced and supporting skins and shapes better - But trust me you will never see my Avatar presented in it's raw state.

But tbh. I can't help your cause in SL - What problems you may have experienced could be down to a number of things. Broadband speed, your CPU, lag. lots of things.

There are far better artists in SL artists than I who would explain the workings or what improvements the Sim has offered! But I'd like to think I'm a digital artist first and foremost - so if you think what I'm doing looks good then I can only take it as a compliment to my art - not my SL figures. :)

maaaannn... i wonder if SL is better than it was before? When I played it, it refreshed my face every third second and my PERFECT david tennant and matt smith avis FROM SCRATCH made from generic bodies just turned into the Mukaluk shark face from The Cell. constantly. or some old hairy blurry dude. Does it still do that? I am THIS. CLOSE. to going back on maybe.
this is awesome, by the way. I am in love with it.

Aww I had thought about that possibility too. I mean, he's partly Donna as well, he's just not the Doctor and it might stick in the back of her head. The whole color scheme and mood of your picture, with the backstory and the words all together make me want to cry, I can just say great great job!

Kiwi-islandtea Great name! Thank you. I recall Rose's reaction on Bad Wolf Bay - to me personally it was a look of desperation. She was thrown into a situation she had no choice about and was expected to deal with it (Of course, I certainly wouldn't mind being left on a beach snogging DT - But it all seemed so false. It wasn't Ten she wanted, but the ideology of being with a man who had changed her life, no matter what guise he adopted.

Just not with 10.5

Aww yes exactly. I mean she first met him as Eccleston anyway! I would definitely feel a bit jipped in her position :/.
And thanks for the compliment on the name ^-^

You know, I don't normally really like the three dimensional art look much, but this picture really caught my attention and I keep coming back to look at it more. I love the writing on the wall and window, and the black rose on the floor. I love the way it looks like he had a moment of despair and just wrote it all in the dust, and then fell into resignation and smoked a cigarette. I think it looks like he went a little mad and sits in the house all the time while the rest of the world goes on without him.
And I have babbled quite enough. I am done.

intrepid-Inkweaver - Thank you for your kind comments.

Believe it or not. This image was never originally planned. I was actually messing about with some poses from his wonderings around the sim and wanted to create a modelling shot - dark and moody. You get the pic. Then for whatever reason, Reverie appeared! I often do my best pieces when I don't plan them too well.

Ever since I joined Second Life, my goal was to focus more on the Human Doctor. And of course the beauty of sim, is that I have the ability to create both 10 and 10.5 (Trust me the modelling hasn't happened overnight either. It's taken ALOT of work, time and Sim cash to get just right)

I first started to explore 10.5 because I was writing a fan fic RP at the time, about what his life would be like after Rose. Sadly it never came to fruitation, but I do think I may consider revisiting again one day.

But for the very reasons you mention, for me personally the Meta Crisis is the more intriguing because the possibilities just seem endless. I always wondered in particular if he would experience pain of 10 regenerating into 11 and of course not forgetting the situatuion that unfolded with Donna in EOT.

I think we all secretly hope that (somewhere on a shelf) RTD has the story of what actually happened to the Human Doctor scribed. I also keep saying, that it would be the perfect return for David Tennant should he ever wish to come back. But I guess that's more doubtful.

Gah-ah, so sad, yet likely very true. I love that line..."I'll never be the other man." Poor Metacrisis Doctor.
