Brief Synopsis

With the prospect of receiving a well-deserved promotion to that of DCI, DI Peter Carlisle's now live in lover Natalie Holden, prepares to treat her partner to an amorous night.

But, the celebrations are short-lived when, much to Carlisle's dismay, the job is given to another detective, a stranger to Carlisle, the weary stone-faced DI Alec Hardy. Perturbed by the ludicrous decision,
Carlisle decides to probe into his new bosses work history and stumbles across evidence to suggest that Hardy's recent return to work is clouded in mystery and not as straightforward as it first seems.

However, this becomes the last of Carlisle's concerns when to add to his upset, it gets pointed out by both Natalie and Carlisle's colleagues, that there seems to be more than just a passing resemblance between the two men.
Carlisle seems unrivalled and unconcerned by his scrawny counterpart, but Natalie can't help but let her female intuition, not to mention curiosity, lead her to delve a little deeper into Hardy's arrival.

Is the fact that Hardy looks like Carlisle a coincidence? Or is someone hiding more than they care to tell? Either way, can Natalie handle having the both of them in her life without losing her mind and her heart?
