Jack Harkness is Captain Jack - Second Life Character. Modelled using a generic shape and bought skin and is based on the TV actor and Singer John Barrowman. (Doctor Who 2005 - 2010) (for the benefit of portraying this scene, the character has been manipulated slightly)


Does it need saying? ......


Apparantly it just might. I asked a good friend of mine what she thought about this piece, but realised that the idea behind it had somewhat been clouded. So, for the benefit of those confused....Here's a little synopsis behind the piece.

Firstly I think you are more than aware of how much I ship these two. I simply adore them both. (So asking where Rose is pointless!) I say it often, I will NEVER make any apologies for placing either of these two together in an intimate or compromising situation.

So with that in mind, I wanted the piece to illustrate a loving unionship between the two characters sharing their adoration for each other.

In my mind I had the two boys at a New Years Eve party. (They were both going to be in Kilts, but sadly we had costume difficulties days before the photoshoot for this piece was put in place) So I decided to go for a fancy dress theme. Hence the cowboys

BUT....This is not just any party. Indeed not. This is in fact intended to be a quiet moment, whereby they are alone on the balcony, taking time out from the hectic surroundings to be with each other, at what is intended to be their own Civil partnership reception. (Hence the ring on Oneheart's finger - I can hear peeps going Ohhhh, I see that now! LOL)

NOW, before you go rolling your eyes and comment about Mr Tennant's recent marriage to his financee Georgia Moffat. In no way was this piece intended to p**s on anyone's fire! In fact, I wasn't even aware that their wedding was due to take place on December 30th, (much like us all) and I had already started planning the idea a whole week before.

So, if such a thing exists, it was in fact sheer coincidence, that on the same night I uploaded the piece to DA, I happened to read on Twitter by way of a close friend of DT's that confirmed the wedding had taken place.

The songs title and lyrics actually came after completion. But aside of being a big fave of mine, I always pictured both Jack and the Doctor/or Human Doctor in my head everytime I heard it. And I think the lyrics show how far they would go to look out for each other.

SO there you have it....If it is still as clear as mud, then I suggest you think outside of the box
